Confirmed by a tweet from the player himself, the Bears have released RB Kahlil Bell.

Thank u for all the love and support Chicago. It's been a great ride. The windy city is truly an amazing place and I will miss y'all!!

Bell amassed 694 rushing yards from scrimmage and 1 TD in his time with the Bears.

Media supposition after the break.

Per Biggs:

After #Bears sunk big money in Matt Forte and Michael Bush, $1.26 million was going to be a lot to pay a 3rd back.

So there it is, Bell, a guy who was always one of those fan favorites "This guys" is gone, because he wasn't cheap. Oh, and because he dropped the ball. More often than you'd like.
