Week 2 Picks: Recap

Well...that was an interesting week of NFL action.

Seriously--who had the Cards beating the Patriots, in Foxborough? Arizona is now 2-0. They still do not know who their QB is.
Another 2-0 team: the Eagles. Now, I wouldn't mind if they were playing to their "Dream Team" talent level, but 9 turnovers in two games? Really? The NFL is a strange place.

Also, in case anyone was starting to think that the replacement refs would be OK, I give you last nights Broncos @ Falcons game.

And lest I forget the purpose of this post, I managed a 10-6 on my picks for last week, bringing me to 16-16 on the season.

Bears @ Packers:
I think we all expected a better performance from both offenses. Yes, Jay Cutler threw four picks, but that may be because the Packers DB's were more open than our receivers Thursday night...and displayed better catching ability. The Packers won ugly, and the Bears lost even more so.

Cowboys @ Seahawks:
The 'Boys were beaten pretty solidly here. Qwest Field can do that to a good football team. Ask the Saints.
Marshawn Lynch and a good defense helped.

Broncos @ Falcons:
Manning threw 3 first-quarter INT's. He won't catch nearly the flak Jay did because A) He's got his SB ring and four MVP awards, B) He didn't bump Ryan Clady or yell too hard at his O-line, and C) He's Peyton Manning. Falcons D played well, Ryan was on point all night.

Jets @ Steelers:
Well...so much for an upset. The Steelers put the Jets in their place here, though missing Revis certainly did not help matters against a very good receiving corps in Pittsburgh.

So all the home teams won in my highlighted games...gives me an idea for next week.
