First Round (Expanded)

  1. Kansas City - Geno Smith QB WVU - With new coach Andy Reid coming in town, the Chiefs will look to address their biggest need with the first pick. Geno Smith makes the most sense.
  2. Jacksonville - Star Lotulelei DT UTAH - The Jags have a plethora of needs, but defensive line meets both BPA and need. Star has ..."star" written all over him. He's not as brutally strong as Suh was coming out, but he's smart and quick.
  3. Oakland - Luke Joeckel OT TAMU - Oakland traded as much to get Palmer and the Bears did to get Cutler. They'll take BPA here and get probably the best player in the draft. Joeckel is better than Jake Long was coming out, and more athletic than Joe Thomas.
  4. Philadelphia - De Milliner CB BAMA - Philly needs a ton. They could go DL here, but I see them addressing their biggest need by taking Milliner. Asamoah has been a complete bust so far and DRC has never been good. Milliner will start right away.
  5. Detroit - Demontre Moore DE TAMU - KVB is old, and the Lions don't have much pass rush. They'll take the best 4-3 pass rusher in the draft. Will solidify an already strong Lions defensive line.
  6. Cleveland - Bjoern Werner DE FSU - Werner is a beast and Cleveland is in need of some serious identity. I could see them scrapping Brandon Weedon and drafting a QB, but I don't see how they can pass up on a monster like Werner
  7. Arizona - Matt Barkley QB USC - Arizona has needed a QB for years. Lineart was a bust and Warner wasn't a long term player. Kolb has been an epic fail, therefor they go with the second best QB and most pro-ready QB prospect here.
  8. Buffalo - EJ Manuel QB FSU - And here's the head scratcher. Ej Manuel dominated Senior Bowl practices on his way to a Senior Bowl MVP trophy. He's smart, fast, and has a strong arm. Someone is going to take a chance on him and Buffalo makes sense.
  9. New York Jets - Kenny Vaccaro S TEX - Vaccaro is the only "true" FS in the draft. He's not a hard hitter, he won't make many run stopping tackles, but he is a center field, ballhawk. It's no surprise the Jets need secondary help, and Ryan will definitely look to out smart everyone by not looking to replace Sanchez.
  10. Tennessee - Xavier Rhodes CB FSU - Tennessee has a huge weakness in the secondary, Rhodes is a play maker and will help out a dismal CB crew.
  11. San Diego - Eric Fisher OT CMICH - Eric Fisher could very well be gone by now, but in this mopck he falls to SD, who needs some help on the OL. Rivers is starting to decline, but they'll milk all they can out of him so they draft his blindside protector here.
  12. Miami - Keenan Allen WR CAL - Giving Tannahill a prominent receiving threat should be priority #1 in this draft. Kennan Allen is a playmaker. He can go deep, across the middle, take a WR screen to the house. He's the man and this will make Miami contenders in the AFCE
  13. Tampa Bay - Desmond Trufant CB WASH - Trufant is my favorite player in this draft. He's big (6'0 190), fast (should run a 4.3) and strong (expected 15 reps). He would fit in well with the Greg Schiano bully style of play. And lord knows Tampa needs secondary help.
  14. Carolina - Kawaan Short DT Purdue - Short is a late riser on my draft board. Before the senior bowl I had him as a late 2nd rounder, but I feel like he is going to make someone a nice 3 tech, and Carolina needs defensive linemen
  15. New Orleans - Sheldon Richardson DT Mizzou - I'll keep this simple. NO had the worst defense ever assembled in the history of the NFL this passed season. Sheldon Richardson has Henry Melton potential.
  16. St. Louis - Chance Warmack OG BAMA - St Louis is going to do everything they can to prove Sam Bradford is a franchise QB. They could go Deandre Hopkins here, but I have them going BPA and taking Warmack. Chance will start at LG day 1 and be there for the next 15 seasons.
  17. Pittsburgh - Jarvis Jones OLB GA - The Best pass rusher i nthe draft finally comes off the board. Jarvis Jones could go in the top 5, but I expect teams will shy away because of his degenerative neck problem. James Harrison may not be back this season so I expect Pitt to look to replace him.
  18. Dallas - Barkevious Mingo DE LSU - Mingo is one of the top pass rushers in the draft. He's fast, strong, and smart. Working under Hot Rod and Kiffin he will become a great T2 pass rusher.
  19. New York Giants - Zach Ertz TE STAN - Martellus Bennett was a HUGE disappointment in his first real starting gig. Therefor I believe the Giants will look to give Eli even more big weapons by taking the TE out of Stanford.
  20. Chicago - Lane Johnson OT OKLA - Bears OL sucks. Lane Johnson is good. It's a match made in heaven. Johnson went up against 1st round talent like Jeffcoat and Okafor. He is the 3rd best offensive tackle in the draft and one of the few true left tackles. Bears could go interior OL here or LB, but I expect Trestman will want to shore up Jay's blindside.
  21. Cincinnati - Kevin Minter ILB LSU - No Te'o? Minter is a rock solid MLB. He will go sideline to sideline and will stuff the run. The Bengals need defensive help and Minter will be a staple in the middle for years.
  22. St. Louis (from WAS) - Deandre Hopkins WR CLEM - St Louis still gets there man here. They could've taken Hopkins with the 16th pick, but they go OL, and they still get Hopkins here. Hopkins is a big play waiting to happen. He's like a combination of Randy Moss, Steve Smith, and Wes Welker.
  23. Minnesota - Cordarelle Patterson WR TENN - A big physical receiver, Patterson will give Ponder that outside threat that he has been missing.
  24. Indianapolis - Jesse Williams DT BAMA - Indi runs a 3-4 now and Jesse Williams is a big strong NT who Pagano will hope can turn into Haloti Ngata
  25. Seattle - Tavon Austin WR WVU - Seattle needs playmakers, Tavon Austin is the ultimate playmaker. He's the fastest man in the draft (should run in the low 4.3's or even high 4.2's) and isn't afraid to go across the middle.
  26. Green Bay - Barrett Jones C BAMA - Green Bay is one of the only teams to have as bad of an OL as the Bears the passed few seasons. Barrett Jones can play any of the interior OL positions. Problem solved.
  27. Houston - Manti Te'o ILB ND - Finally Te'o goes off the board. The Texas missed Demeco Ryans this season and will look to replace him. Te'o is going to be a good fit for Houston, the only question is if he's mentally stable enough to play in the NFL.
  28. Denver - Johnathon Banks CB MISS ST - Denver's corner basically lost them the game against the Ravens. Champ is a shell of his former self. Johnathon Banks is a #1 corner who can compete from day 1.
  29. New England - Terrance Williams WR BAYLOR - Tom Brady gets a new toy. Williams is a beast. He lead the nation in receiving yards this season and is strong and fast enough to hold his own in the NFL.
  30. Atlanta - Dion Jordan DE ORGN - Atlanta needs talent on defense to match the offensive talent and Jordan is a pass rusher expert. He will give them that something that they need.
  31. Baltimore - Eric Reid S LSU - Ed Reed may be playing his final game Sunday, and Baltimore will look to ease the process by taking my favorite safety in the draft. Eric Reid not only shares a similar name to Baltimore's safety, but he shares a similar playing style as well.
  32. San Francisco - DJ Fluker RT BAMA - San Fran has a weak right side of the OL and Fluker is a big mauler who would excell in SF's run first offense. Fluker isn't the most fleet of foot, but he can throw around DE's in the run game.

*edit* I have the Jets taking Vaccaro now, and Mingo falling to Dallas at #18.
