Chicago Bears expected to re-sign quarterback Jordan Palmer

With the status of Jay Cutler's injured groin still unknown, the Chicago Bears are expected to re-sign quarterback Jordan Palmer.

With only one healthy quarterback on the roster, the Chicago Bears are expected to re-sign Jordan Palmer as insurance. Jay Cutler will have an MRI on his injured groin tomorrow to determine the severity of the injury.

Palmer was signed by the Bears in the preseason after then 3rd QB Matt Blanchard went down with an injury. He went 11-17, for 111 yards and a TD against the Browns in the preseason finale.

The Bears, who have their bye coming up this week, won't play again until Monday night, November 4th against the Green Bay Packers.

Until Cutler receives the MRI, it'll be pointless to speculate on how much time he'll miss. NBC's Peggy Kusinski tweeted out a link to her Facebook page, that had a picture of an obviously pained post game Jay Cutler.
