So it's off to the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis for the Chicago Bears this Sunday. While not what you'd call a great home field advantage of late for the Rams, it could prove pivotal. You see - the last few weeks - the St. Louis Rams have sort of... Well, kind of... OK, they're playing well. You may have heard what happened when they traveled to Indianapolis? Weird thing is, while the score was a surprise to me, the outcome wasn't. This team is starting to gel, coalesce, meld, be-one-with-the-force, or however we Rams' fans want to describe how this team hasn't been all that bad to watch of late.
I'm an editor and writer for Turf Show Times - the SBNation site for all things St. Louis Rams. I thought I'd pop in to ask a few questions, and hopefully answer some of yours about the Rams leading up to this Sunday's game.
One of my favorite players each year - especially around Fantasy Football draft time - is Matt Forte. He's stayed remarkably healthy this season, no? With both teams leaning hard on back up quarterbacks, Forte and the Rams' Zac Stacy should be a interesting pair to watch. Where's Michael Bush been? He was the Bears' red zone guy last year, but he isn't getting much in the way of opportunities?
How's Alshon Jeffrey progressing? At Turf Show Times, we are heavily vested in Mock Drafts, and I can recall Jeffrey being in the Justin Blackmon discussion. Has he proven to be a viable #2 across from Brandon Marshall?
The Bears defense puzzles me, in that they're usually a beast against running teams. This year, they've dropped off a tad. What positions have been the ones causing this little aberration? Without Urlacher in the middle, is this where the Bears defense has stumbled? Your secondary is in for a big day, since Kellen Clemens has been mercurial his entire career. Lately, he's looked good enough to stem the Bradford wails at his loss for the year to an ACL injury. But we just don't know who will show up each Sunday when it comes to Clemens.
I'll be dropping back in the rest of the week, and I'll be inviting the TST folks to pop in too. Should any of them forget they're guests here, please don't hesitate to let me know.
