Final Score: Chicago Bears defeat Green Bay Packers 27-20

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Marc Trestman made a few new fans Monday night after his victory at Lambeau Field.

Entering Monday night's game at Lambeau, the Chicago Bears had a lot of reasons to be considered underdogs to arguably the best team in the NFC North.  Josh McCown started in place of injured Jay Cutler (who may be coming back next week versus the LionsLINK), and two rookies, Khaseem Green and Jonathan Bostic, started at linebacker with D.J. Williams lost for the season and Lance Briggs sidelined for several weeks.

But in Green Bay's very first offensive drive, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sacked by defensive end Shea McClellin, and was knocked out of the game with an injured shoulder.  Seneca Wallace stepped in, but was rendered ineffective by the Chicago defense.

Chicago held on to win 27-20 for the upset in Green Bay.

FINAL STATS

Josh McCown: 22/41, 272 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT, 90.7 rating

Brandon Marshall: 7 rec, 107 yds, 1 TD

Alshon Jeffery: 5 rec, 60 yds, 1 TD

Matt Forte: 24 rushes, 125 yds,1 TD | 5 rec, 54 yds

Julius Peppers had a good game, with a sack, two pass deflections, and an interception, not to mention several QB hurries.  His counterpart, defensive end Shea McClellin, added another three sacks, which was a career-high.

The NFC North now has the Bears, Packers, and Lions all sitting at 5-3, with Chicago hosting Detroit next week.  Should make for some great football on the back-9 of the 2013 season.

We'll have more comprehensive analysis tomorrow, but for tonight, what are your thouhts?
