Chicago Bears Injury Report: Lance Briggs ruled out

Jonathan Daniel

There are only two players on the Chicago Bears injury report this week, and both are pretty important to the team's playoff chances moving forward. The Cleveland Browns have sixteen players on their week 15 report, but most are minor. Here's the full run down for the game.

The big Chicago Bears injury report came out yesterday, when head coach Marc Trestman named Jay Cutler the starting quarterback for this Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. Technically he's receiving the probable designation, but all indications are that he's 100% and ready to go.

Earlier today it was revealed that Lance Briggs will miss this week's game, but Trestman is "optimistic" that he will play the following week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

As for the full Bears injury report, that's it. Two players. Not another strain, bruise, or sprain to be found. This is the healthiest they've been in a long time.

The Cleveland Browns have three players listed out for this game. Starting left guard John Greco, starting running back Willis McGahee, and back up tight end Andre Smith.

The other 13 players on their injury report are listed as probable (75% chance the player will play). Most notable among them are offensive starters TE Jordan Cameron (ribs), LT Joe Thomas (back), RT Mitchell Schwartz (toe, knee), punter Spencer Lanning (left knee), and defensive starters LB D'Qwell Jackson (ankle), LB Paul Kruger (elbow), LB Craig Robertson (knee), DE Ahtyba Rubin (calf), and SS T.J. Ward (shoulder).

Everyone but the three players that Cleveland has already ruled out is expected to play.

What are your thoughts on the Bears and Browns injuries this week?
