Evaluate the following statement.

I'm willing to bet that everyone who posts here is more intelligent about football than I am. After yesterday's game, I thought about the thing I'm about to ask you good people to evaluate, and it seems to me to be true, but I wanted to hear what other people have to say about it.

And, yes, I am aware of the number of frustrating / difficult / borderline devastating injuries the team has had to deal with this season. But: 1) injuries are a major part of football, and 2) a loss to the 2013 Vikings should be cause for evaluation.

So. Evaluate the following statement:

"This season's Bears are not as good as the sum of their parts."
