Chicago Bears 2014 Free Agents: Jay Cutler among biggest questions of offseason

Jonathan Daniel

Now that the season is over, the Chicago Bears have a lot of work to do relating to free agents.

One of the biggest stories during the 2013 NFL season was how well Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler would mesh with new offensive head coach Marc Trestman, and before a couple of key injuries, he was having the best statistical season of his career.

Cutler headlines a long list of players set to become free agents in 2014, which means Cliff Stein and Phil Emery have a lot of work to do.

If you're looking for the Bears salary cap situation for 2014, they're in pretty good shape. Obviously having so many expiring contracts means they have a lot of freedom, and a good article on where they stand can be found HERE.

A couple of things we know: Cliff Stein, technically the team's General Counsel, is one of the best in the business at getting contracts signed and reworked, and Phil Emery is incredibly cerebral and analytical in his approach to running this football team.

The Chicago Bears are about to become incredibly busy in working on this roster, but seem to be in pretty good hands.

What are your thoughts on the free agency situation in Chicago?

Stay tuned...
