Chicago Bears fill their final coaching vacancy by hiring Alabama wide receivers coach Mike Groh.
During today's press conference, Chicago Bears general manager Phil Emery said that the team was close to filling the lone remaining position in new head coach Marc Trestman's offense: The wide receivers coach.
A few hours later, it's been announced that Mike Groh, son of Al Groh, has been hired to fill that role.
Mike has been the WR coach for the national champion Alabama Crimson Tide since the 2011 season, and before that spent a few years under his das at the University of Virginia.
This will be Groh's first position in the NFL, with the exception of one season as a glorified assistant with his father with the New York Jets.

He doesn't have a lot of experience, but judging by both Emery and Trestman's seemingly thoughtful and deliberate approach to put pieces in place, he must have a lot of potential to help develop our wide receivers.
