Help/Advice Needed! Trip to Chicago to Watch a Bears game

Whats up dudes, i'm Paulo, a big chicago Bears fan from Brazil.

This year i won a lawsuit and got some money off it, so i though i'd realize a long time dream of mine.
Which is to watch the Bears play on Soldier Field. And maybe throw in a Blackhawks game in, too.
I've been rehearsing a trip to the USA to watch some football games for a couple of years, but now i finally have the means to do it.

But it will be my first time ever overseas. I was born and raised on a big city so Chicago being at least 100 times more organized than anything we have here in Brazil makes the city not really intimidating to me. (That kind of situation, if i have braved Brazil's big cities i can brave anywhere in the world)

However, i have no idea where i should stay, good places to eat (besides all the famous places). Where to go shopping and i only know the obvious sight-seeing places.
I'll probably be staying 7 days in Town, because this trip will be the first leg of a trip i'm taking with my younger brother. After Chi-town we're taking the California Zephyr, and ultimately stopping in San Diego, where he'll watch his San Diego Chargers.

I'm planning the trip to be between mid-november and early december. Hoping to spend a grand total of 21 days in the US. Probably 15 in Chicago/San Diego and 5 others travelling (the train ride, and plane trips in and out)

I was hoping my friends here in WCG could have some advice for me, helping me out.
I'm sure you guys will know how to guide me around the basics.

I thank you guys in advance for the time and patience!
