2013 NFL Draft: Todd McShay says Chicago Bears pick Manti Te'o

Jonathan Daniel

There hasn't been a college player make more headlines in recent months, but the publicity wasn't all great. With so many issues on the OL, would this be a gamble?

ESPN Insider Todd McShay released his most recent mock draft today, and while we can't revel the entire article, we can share who he has the Chicago Bears taking.

With the 20th pick in the Todd McShay's mock 2013 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select...

Manti Te'o, LB, Notre Dame

McShay's analysis:

Left tackle is the Bears' biggest need, but they cannot afford to miss at that position again after whiffing on the likes of Gabe Carimi and Chris Williams. Any tackle still on the board would be a reach here, and if Chicago elects to let 35-year old MLB Brian Urlacher walk in free agency, Te'o would be an interesting replacement with his three-down ability.

For the record, McShay does have a handful of offensive tackles off the board at this point, including: Luke Joeckel (Texas A&M), Eric Fisher (Central Michigan), and Lane Johnson (Oklahoma).

For those who have been clamoring for the Bears to spend their 1st round pick on a tight end, not a single one has been selected before the Bears pick at 20. Just foood for thought.

How would you feel about the Bears selecting Te'o?
