Phil Emery got it done in day 1. Now onto the rest of the team. - Jonathan Daniel
Tuesday was a big day as we marked the start of the Free Agency for 2013. The Bears picked up two players, who have already made it official. An awful lot of linemen got deals, suggesting that teams consider blocking to be an important part of football. What could Wednesday possibly have in store?
The Bears signed Martellus Bennett and Jermon Bushrod yesterday. Two big moves that should shore up positions of need for the team, as well as allow for an impressive amount of flexibility in the draft.

We saw a lot of action for players around the league, but no one seems to be sniffing around the Bears free agents that much. Is it an indication of the perceived quality of Bears players, or simply teams waiting for the market to be set?
The biggest question on the mind of a lot of Bears fans: What about free agent Brian Urlacher? After watching his long career in Chicago, it feels genuinely odd to type those exact words. With reports that the Bears did not submit a counteroffer after Urlacher's agent dropped off their initial pitch, it seems that they would be comfortable with letting him walk. With no real replacement on the roster (or linebacker depth in general), they seem confident in the fact that he may not find many suitors in the NFL. It is impressive the effect a garbage-time injury in 2011 is having on the final years of #54's career.
On that note, stick around today, as we will update the big board as necessary, and bring you any moves that the Bears. See something out there that we aren't posting? Throw it in the comments, and we'l see it accordingly.
