Brian Urlacher close to signing with the Minnesota Vikings

Reports are trickling in that Brian Urlacher is talking with the Minnesota Vikings and the Denver Broncos.

Michael Sneed of the Chicago Sun Times is reporting that former Chicago Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher is close to signing to play in 2013.

Sneed is told that Urlacher, whose decision to leave the Bears followed their offer of a $1.6 million renewal contract, has been talking to the Minnesota Vikings and the Denver Broncos. "It’s getting close to happening, but Brian is leaning toward heading to Minnesota and is talking a one to two year contract," said a source close to Urlacher.

In regards to the Broncos, Mike Klis of the Denver Post tweeted the following;

And Gary Miller from KCNC Denver tweeted this.

It is possible that Urlacher's "people" are just floating the Broncos as a suitor to drive up the market and make the Vikings believe they should sweeten the deal.

So far there has been no word, official or otherwise, from Minnesota about their interest in Urlacher.
