Chicago Bears Training Camp: 8/2 Recap

Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman diverted from the usual 9am practice time because of bad weather, and scheduled a 3pm practice for Friday afternoon. It just ended, and we've got you covered with the recap right now...

Middle linebacker D.J. Williams was not in his walking boot during lunch at the Olivet Nazarene University dining hall. The walking boot remains off of left tackle Jermon Bushrod, but he's still being held out of practice. Reserve tackle Jonathan Scott is also being held out, leaving Eben Britton to get 1st team LT reps.

Corey Wootton is still sidelined with a hip injury, and defensive lineman Jamaal Anderson is also being held out. Wootton is listed as day to day, so the MRI must have been good news.

Other Bears sitting out were Charles Tillman, Brandon Marshall, and Julius Peppers.

Kyle Moore filled in at DE for Peppers, Kelvin Hayden started for Peanut, and Joe Anderson started at wide out with Alshon Jeffery. Shea McClellin is again starting at LDE for Wootton.

Tim Jennings and Lance Briggs were both back practicing.

Now on to some super informational Tweets about practice!
