Since the Bears can only keep 53 players on the active roster the question I have is which young and talented players don't quite make the team, but rather get a practice squad spot to develop? Some are too good to stash on the practice squad. Wilson and possibly Ford would be snatched up pretty quick in my opinion. A few prospects are versatile and that means a lot to Emery.
Here are a few players I think might make the practice squad:
-
Taylor Boggs, C/LG #60, 6' 3", 285 lbs., 26 years old, Humboldt State
-
P.J. Lonergan, C #53, 6' 4", 305 lbs, 23 years old, LSU
-
Josh Lenz, WR/KR/PR #11, 6' 0", 194 lbs, 22 years old, Iowa State
-
Demontre Hurst, CB #30, 5' 10" 183 lbs 22 years old, Oklahoma
-
C.J. Wilson, CB #39, 5' 11", 187 lbs, 23 years old, NC State
-
Cornelius Washington, DE #78, 6' 4", 265 lbs, 23 years old, Georgia
