Games on the west coast can be the worst for teams used to playing earlier in the evening, but we're finally here. The Chicago Bears have traveled to Oakland to take on a Raiders team that is still trying to get their feet under them and be competitive in the AFC.
Starters will play at least a half for both teams, if not into the 3rd quarter. Look for Marc Trestman's new offense to finally show some rhythm, with the understanding that they will still be running a mostly vanilla offense to preserve packages and strategies for the regular season.
We will be here live for the duration, so stick around for live discussion during the game, and instant analysis as soon as the final bell sounds. And of course, more in-depth looks tomorrow and throughout the weekend.
This is your first quarter Open Thread... Be safe, stay awake, and have fun!
