Chicago Bears Training Camp: August 06 Open Thread

Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE

How hard and how far you can throw the ball is inconsequential next to the power of the Force.

The Bears start their second practice of the week in slightly better shape injury-wise, as Jermon Bushrod returned in limited fashion and other, less prominent names moved off the trainers' table and back to the field. Hopefully we'll see Julius Peppers and Stephen Paea (both held out as a precaution) return to action soon. Poor Earl Bennett is still MIA with that concussion issue...

The big news from yesterday wasn't so much what we saw in practice, but the release of the first depth chart. Although they won't gameplan for the game, our thoughts inevitably turn towards Friday's preseason opener against the Panthers.

What will you be watching out for?

Darth Lester: Do not underestimate the power of the dark side of the Force. Here's a link to the entire Chicago Bears training camp schedule.

The Death Star also has a handy Training Camp FAQ which can be found here.

Please keep in mind that Open Threads are rated WCG-MA, so you may see a naughty word or two in the comment section. Here's a link to our community guidelines so you know what is still out of bounds; these are not the words we're looking for. It may be an open thread, but we still should act fairly civilized, we're not Jawas.

Now enjoy the open thread! By the way, Luke, I am your father. And Kev is your sister.

Luke Schweickertwalker: Nooooooo! Good thing we Open Threaded Responsibly (ahem), then.....
