Chicago Bears Fantasy Football: Start 'Em and Sit 'Em versus the Steelers

Martellus Bennett reveling in his new found Start 'Em glory. - David Banks

In a week three match-up, the 2-0 Chicago Bears will travel to the 0-2 Pittsburgh Steelers. It's always tough going into Pittsburgh, so we should expect a hard fought game this week. Here's how we see the Chicago fantasy players chipping in this week.

With the Bears playing on Sunday Night, you should have a good late night points boost for your fantasy team. Here's who we think will be a good play for you this week.

Start 'Em

Matt Forte RB - The only thing missing from Matt Forte this week was a touchdown. His 30 touches for 161 yards is just the kind of production fantasy players envisioned when they drafted him. He's a must start every week.

Brandon Marshall WR - Speaking of must starts every week, did you realize that Brandon Marshall is on pace for 120 receptions, 1,736 yards, and 16 TDs? Did you also realize that according to NFL.com, Marshall isn't even listed with the reception leaders? Talk about no respect...

As a matter of fact, there isn't one Bear listed in their stat leaders. Something glitchy this way comes...

(NFL.com has fixed their site!)

Martellus Bennett TE - Last week I suggested waiting a week before starting Martellus Bennett over some of those other top flight TEs, but now he's proven that he belongs as a #1 TE option. He's a perfect fit for Marc Trestman's offense, and he's being utilized as such.

Also did you see the Monday Night game and how the Bengal TEs ran free against the Steeler D? Cincy TEs combined for 9 catches and 132 yards.

Chicago Bears Defense - The Bears defense has had a few big moments in the first two weeks, but they've also given up a few long drives. Their points allowed is in the bottom half of the NFL, although that number is helped along by Chicago's offense and special teams allowing scores. In the turnover department, the Bears already have three interceptions, and four fumble recoveries, to go along with a defensive TD.

Even thought Devin Hester hasn't broke one yet, he on the cusp, you can just feel one coming.

Sit 'Em

Jay Cutler QB - I still have to recommend keeping Cutler on the bench this week. His turnovers are still a problem deducting fantasy points from your team. Most of you have a better fantasy QBs on your roster anyway, so ride him out until Cutler proves worthy of the start.

Alshon Jeffery WR - Last week I had Alshon Jeffery in the Start 'Em category and he was a dud. But I did successfully predict his end around! The problem is he only managed one reception against the Vikes.

I'd expect a lot of blitzing this week from the Steelers, so maybe Jeffery is the beneficiary of some quick hot reads, but start him at your own risk.

If anyone has any fantasy related questions, drop them in the comment section, and I'm sure our knowledgeable members will give out some advice.
