WCG Madden Streaming - Offseason Plans

Over the course of this season, we've done a near-weekly stream show here on WCG where we discussed recent happenings with the Bears as well as previewing the upcoming matchup. Major thanks go out to Spongie, Sam, David Taylor, and Kev for their appearances on the stream as well as their football acumen and discussion, and especially thanks to Dane for allowing me to run something like that - it was all kinds of fun on the season and you guys really seemed to enjoy it a lot.

Anyway, with the offseason upon us, in case you've missed it, I've been putting together a couple of plans on Twitter of things to do with our Madden streaming, and there's plenty of community involvement afoot.

One of the things we'll be doing is an offline community Franchise Mode, with a bunch of input from you guys as far as roster moves, scouting and draft picks, and anything else you guys want to contribute to it. Sorry, no unilateral cut moves.

We'll also be doing online-head-to-head games.

We may also do an online Franchise and some other fun online stuff; however, I have limited experience with it (limited experience with online in general).

So, a couple of things to this.

1) If you guys have any suggestions for anything you want to see on the stream, any criticisms to share from over the past year, or anything like that, any improvements and suggestions will certainly be taken into consideration.

2) If you guys want in on any of the potential online interaction, there's a couple ways - I'm not going to make my XBox Live Gamertag or PSN tag public; follow me on Twitter and submit your tag that way, if you already follow me you can send in a DM with your XBL and/or PSN tag (I'll get a 360 disc of Madden just for this to go with the PS3 disc I've been using - Yes, that means I'll be on 360 or PS3, not XB1 or PS4). You can also email me, it's in my profile - and there's always the good ol' "Throw it in the comments below" bit.

3) Can anyone with more online experience than I have tell me if there's a friend-spectator mode? I admit I haven't played around much with the online features, so any little bit helps. If we do a tournament or online Franchise, I'd like to be able to show as much as possible.

4) The current thought is to run the stream pretty much weekly on Saturday nights. Consequently, this would also be when said online interactions would be. But for something larger like a tournament or an online franchise (or a one-on-one even), I'm sure we could arrange another time or set of times.

5) I would prefer anyone I play against live to have a Skype account and communicate via that method, if possible. I don't believe the stream picks up PSN/XBL voice communication, though I could be wrong.

Either way, let me know your thoughts on any of the above. Again, thank you guys for your participation and contributions to the stream and for making Sunday mornings (and some Monday evenings) that much more fun over the year.
