Defensive switch

So, I can usually hold my own when it comes to talking football. I understand the basic differences between the 4-3 and the 3-4 difference. However, after having seen it mentioned that our Bears are considering a switch to the 3-4, it occurred to me that my knowledge ends right there. Can someone with a bit more football smarts explain what would be needed for the Bears to make the switch? I'm looking for specifics- which players would be changing positions, who we might cut, who we might pick up, and what could we expect to see from the Bears of the near-future. Is the change a good idea? Bad idea?

Thank you!
