Williams appeared in six games for the Bears last season, starting in four of them. Williams allows the Bears to retain a somewhat-known commodity on what is likely to be a team-friendly deal. This allows the Bears another season to see if they have a young player who can take that position and run with it, or if we'll be talking about drafting/free agency for a milddle linebacker next year, as well.
