Jon Bostic

Jonathan Bostic is one of my favorite NFL players. In the preseason we all thought he would be an adequate starter and would fill the void for Urlacher. The regular season proved many of us wrong. I know that he is bonding with the team by hanging out with Brandon Marshall in Florida and doing beach drills with fans. I think with a better DL that isn't plagued with injuries. He could be what we saw in the preseason. He can hit harder than Urlacher, he can tackle well, and even proved he isn't a major liability in coverage. He is fast and can stop plays such as end arounds, pitches, and screens. In this offseason he can correct mental mistakes and have the new LB coaches teach him how to fight blocks better and fight through trash I think he can be an above average starter for the Bears in the future.

Bostic has showed with a little help around him while he is learning he can be an excellent player. He also can prove to be a team leader as he is extremely nice and is a tapehead. His hits on Kris Durham and Mike Willie have proved he is a playmaker and can continuously change the outcome of the game for us.

If Jon Bostic goes up against Shea McClellin in the training camp who do you think will win the competition between these two young players?
