How do you not root for a guy like Jordan Lynch?
He's from the southwest side of Chicago. He attended Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago. He went to Northern Illinois University. He defied the odds and was a Heisman Trophy finalist after a record breaking career at NIU. He goes undrafted, but gets picked up by the team he cheered for all his life, the Chicago Bears.
He's a local kid, he's an underdog and look at what he tweeted out after signing with the Bears.
BEARDOWN!!!

In switching positions he obviously has a tough road ahead of him, but he has impressed in his few weeks as a running back. So much so that head coach Marc Trestman put him in the group of backs in a logjam behind starter Matt Forte.
I believe that rookie fourth rounder Ka'Deem Carey has the inside track as the primary backup, but after that it's wide open. Lynch is competing against fellow undrafted rookie Senorise Perry, second year man Michael Ford and veteran newcomer Shaun Draughn.
As a third tailback on a 53 man roster, he'll have to prove he can play special teams, and that will ultimately determine his fate.
What do you think about his chances on making the Bears 53 man roster?
