Tomorrow the Chicago Bears will report to training camp on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. For the full camp schedule including directions to camp you can click here.
Earlier today general manager Phil Emery and head coach Marc Trestman met the media and we'll highlight some of the pertinent info via twitter right after we we run down the health of the players.
It's being reported that offensive guard Kyle Long has a viral infection and will not be ready to go on Thursday. Long's infection is not contagious and he will be at camp. The team will reevaluate him in a week. Free safety Chris Conte is still rehabbing from his shoulder surgery and will begin on the PUP list, but Phil Emery expects him back around August 8th.
Offensive linemen Matt Slauson and Jordan Mills are both expected to be cleared for Friday's practice, as is safety Craig Steltz. Newly signed safety Adrian Wilson, who missed last season with a Haglunds Deformity, is fully healed and impressed with his "burst" at his private workout back in June.
Now on to the Twitter to see what Emery and Trestman had to say, and we'll check in with a few of the players that are already at camp as well.
