Day two of camp is in the books. Pads go on tomorrow. Just another step closer to preseason.
We gave you a tweet-by-tweet recap of practice yesterday; we've got more of the same today, with a couple of big notes to go over.
First off, Tim Jennings sat out of practice today with a quad injury. But he wasn't completely inactive.
Bears CB Tim Jennings missed practice because of a quadriceps problem that he does not consider serious. He said he's day to day.

Tim Jennings not practicing but working hand stuff with martial arts guru Joe Kim. Looks kind of cool.

Kelvin Hayden got the nickel snaps in place of Jennings; Kyle Fuller got a bunch of extra reps with Jennings being out. And either Hayden's going to have an awesome year or Cutler's going to have a terrible year.
Kelvin Hayden intercepts Jay Cutler on first pass in 11-on-11. #Bears

The other big story was a dust-up primarily between Lamarr Houston and Jordan Mills, with Kyle Long and Willie Young also making an appearance.
Nice shoving match between OL and DL, highlighted by Jordan Mills vs. Lamarr Houston. Second scuffle in two days of camp.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) July 26, 2014
Another scrap breaks out. Looked like mills, Houston, Long, willie Young were involved among others.

Marc Trestman said before camp he wanted a team with an edge. He's got it over the first two practices of camp. Pads come on tomorrow.

Long still hasn't been participating due to recovering from a viral illness, but maybe he's coming out of that.
If you're a fan of Adrian Wilson, he's already made some excellent progress.
Adrian Wilson already up to SS w/ 2's

In the backup quarterback competition, Jimmy Clausen got the first crack at reps on the second team.
Uh, I think Clausen is taking that No.2 job. He's working w/the 2's today. Palmer hasn't looked good.

This is either evidence of the above or a sign Khaseem Greene has developed a little.
Khaseem Greene picks off Jordan Palmer for a TD.
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) July 26, 2014
Not a big play by play guy for training camp practice but Khaseem Greene just snared a hot pass from Jordan Palmer for a pick. Impressive.
— Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs) July 26, 2014
Don't worry, Brandon Marshall is still doing Brandon Marshall things.
Brandon Marshall just made a WOW catch, a one-handed lefty grab. Crowd was in awe.
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) July 26, 2014
Oh, and those Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffries guys too.
Cutler w/a beautiful deep ball to Alshon Jeffery who burns the defense for a TD.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) July 26, 2014
Cutler to Jeffrey 50yds and a beauty for a TD. Great ball. Finger tip grab. #BEARS

Here's a name I'm not sure many had in discussions of playing with the ones. But perhaps a Willie Young injury during practice spurred it along.
DE Trevor Scott getting a little time w/starters. Scott with a nice pass-rush move to get past Jordan Mills. #Bears
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) July 26, 2014
Trestman says quad soreness during practice forced Willie Young to be held out.
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) July 26, 2014
Maybe this linebacker thing agrees with Shea McClellin a little bit?
Shea McClellin just flashed dynamic athleticism by dropping into coverage and disrupting a pass play.
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) July 26, 2014
Here's the most important part.
Practice over. #Bears win again.
