The number three receiver has been a bit of a question for the Bears this preseason. Marquess Wilson, thought by many to be the frontrunner, broke his collarbone. Chris Williams pulled a hamstring and was held out of Thursday's name. And let's not get started on Eric Weems.
The Bears, according to Adam Schefter, have agreed to terms with former Jets and Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes, in another attempt to fill that spot.

Last year, Holmes caught 23 passes for 456 yards and a touchdown in eleven games. He had 20 receptions in four games in 2012 before going down with injury. Here's his full PFR page, if you need a refresher.
What this probably means is little more than to see if he can stay healthy and has any more in the tank. According to Adam Hoge...
Don't think Santonio Holmes is guaranteed a roster spot though. #Bears didn't exactly seem blown away by his workout a couple weeks ago.

What are your thoughts on Santonio Holmes as a Bear?
EDIT: The corresponding roster move is the removal of Eric Weems.
Eric Weems will count $500K vs #Bears salary cap this season, pro-rated portion of $1.5M signing bonus he received in 2012.
