I really want him to succeed. We have had too many first round dumpster fires in the last decade. Shea has all the measurables that linebacker should have, but last night he looked lost. Zach Ertz made him look silly in coverage. Has there been any progression as camp goes on, or is he stuck in neutral such as when he was at defensive end?
My thoughts are that the best thing that we can hope from him this year is a situation pass rusher. Sad to say, but he looks like he's playing a different game. Our linebackers in general last night were putrid. Have the faith the defensive staff can help our recently drafted players make some strides this preseason.
