ESPN bottomline - Bears looking to claim Orton off waiver wire

When I first heard that DEN waived him, my first thought was "cool, the Bears can get him back while Jay is hurt". But then I thought about this more. I liked Orton a lot when he was a Bear. I think he was under-rated. But that system he played was pre-Martz. Its not like he'll walk in and know the 2011 Bears. If anything, we have a possible Orton v Cutler conflict. Hopefully he serves as only a veteran back-up for the sake of contingency. I want to see Hanie do well, and I think he can.

FA QBs?

I think we are all hoping that Hanie kicks butt, but I expect us to bring in SOMEBODY, if only to serve as an emergency player. From what I can gather Chris Simms, Charlie Frye, Patrick Ramsey, Troy Smith, He Who Shall Not Be Named and Claims to be Retired, and Jake Delhomme are FAs. I am sure there are more out there as well, and the coaches may have a player already on the roster in mind as well (I think Brad Maynard used to be our 4th "just in case" QB). Who do you want as your Plan D QB?

My boyfriend and are in the midst of a debate and consultation of the NFL rules has lead nowhere. Is it possible for two teams from the same division to win both wild card slots? Obviously, the Packers are going to win the division. But could both the Bears and Lions win the wild card slots? Thanks.

Bears make roster changes

The Bears have made some roster changes. They have released Winston Venable and promoted safety Anthony Walters from the PS. Also they've cut running back Armando Allen and receiver Kris Adams from PS and signed receiver Max Komar along with defensive end Jake Laptad.

Bears vs Chiefs Game what to do & where to go

So this season I will be going to see my first game at Soldier Field. I am a Chiefs fan and will be taking my sister who is a Bears fan. Any advice as to where is the best place to sit? Anything else I shouldn't miss while in town to see the game? This will be my first trip to Chicago, any info is much appreciated! Thanks!
