The Bills continue to clean house in Buffalo, as head coach Dick Jauron was reportedly fired this afternoon.

The Buffalo Bills have fired coach Dick Jauron, a team source told NFL Network's Jason La Canfora.

Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell is expected to become the Bills' interim head coach, a Bills source told NFL.com's Vic Carucci.

In just short of four seasons with the Bills, Jauron compiled a record of 24-33 (.421 winning percentage). The Bills failed to make the playoffs in each season under Jauron. Buffalo has not made the playoffs since 1999, tied with the Lions for the longest active streak for a non-expansion team.

According to Adam Schefter, troubled running back Larry Johnson is on his way to Cincinnati, and is expected to sign with the Bengals.

ESPN's Michael Smith reporting that Larry Johnson is en route to Cincinnati, and barring a breakdown, is expected to sign with Bengals.

Tommie Harris is clear to play Thursday, according to this article.  He was ejected on the 4th play of the game this past Sunday after punching Deuce Lutui.

The NFL might fine Harris, but there will be no suspension for punching Cardinals guard Deuce Lutui in the helmet, according to a league source. 

We'll see how the team responds.

And according to this article, written yesterday on October 19 by Biggs' fellow writer Andrew Brandt of the National Football Post, the Gaines Adams trade freed up cash for the Cutler deal.

From a value standpoint, giving up a second-round draft choice is a truly valuable asset to give up, and personnel people can debate the value of Adams against a 2010 second-round pick. The financial terms, however, skew toward Chicago, which acquired an extremely reasonable contract -- the bulk of the money having been paid by the Bucs -- for a prime position on the team and hedging against paying their existing defensive ends a high market value.

The Bears will need their money. If Jay Cutler progresses as expected, they’re looking at rewarding him with an APY (average per year) of $15M and a guarantee over $30M, based on recent deals by Matt Cassel, Philip Rivers and Eli Manning.

Back in August, we brought you a story about rookie Lance Louis being under investigation for an altercation that took place in 2008 while Louis was still at San Diego State University, an altercation that left his team's strong safety with a concussion, a broken eardrum, and fractured cheekbone.

And if you remember, the Bears disclosed that they were aware of the altercation when he was drafted in the seventh round of the NFL draft.  Well, while things haven't legally turned out as badly as they could have for Louis (the victim's family was expecting a felony assault charge), it appears that he could end up facing jail time after being charged with misdemeanor assault.
