Five Questions With Field Gulls
You know, the Seahawks and the Bears have a lot more in common than we'd think. Like the Bears and Eagles, the Bears and Seahawks have played each other so much they may as well be in the same division. They both met up in the playoffs last season, and both are currently on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. So with common ground established, we sat down with Field Gulls managing editor Danny Kelly for some lowdown on the Seahawks. They'll have their post up a little bit later this morning. Thanks, Danny!
Five Questions With: Mile High Report
I'm not going to pretend like we'll hear about anything else during this football game, so I just went with this picture of Tim Tebow.
Yes, the Mile High Miraclemaker welcomes the Bears into his kingdom, and we took that opportunity to catch up with our friends over at Mile High Report. Kaptain Kirk was kind enough to take our questions, and put his answers to them. With that, hopefully, you'll gain a bit of insight into what makes these 2011 Broncos tick.
1. We always like to hear about the front office situation. There's been a lot of changes in the Broncos' football operations department, particularly with the addition of team and NFL legend John Elway. Can you tell us a bit about how those relationships are working out?
Five Questions With Arrowhead Pride
Thought you weren't going to get one of these for a second week in a row, huh? Joel Thorman over at Arrowhead Pride was awesome enough to answer a few questions for us. When their post is up, I'll link back to my answers to their questions. Thanks a ton!
1) Tell us a little bit about the Chiefs' front office and ownership. How have Scott Pioli and head coach Todd Haley done in your eyes?
AP: It's a mixed bag. They inherited a team that was really, really bad and in year one of the Pioli/Haley era the Chiefs were...really, really bad. The second year, however, the Chiefs won the division and made the playoffs. This year, the third year, has been mixed so we're not really sure what to make of them yet. I think most fans are frustrated that the team isn't competing for a playoff spot right now but given everything that's transpired this year (Losing Jamaal Charles, Eric Berry and now Matt Cassel) I can understand it more. So basically my answer is that Haley/Pioli are a mixed bag right now. There's really no consensus on them.
Five Questions With: Bolts From the Blue
One of our favorite times of the week is when we get to virtually sit down with the blogger of our opponent, and pick their brain to get some insight for the upcoming game. John Gennaro of Bolts From the Blue was gracious enough to drop some knowledge on the WCG readership, and we really appreciate his time. They will be posting their version of 5Qs later on.
1- When I think about the Chargers front office, the first name that comes to mind is obviously General Manager AJ Smith. Smith has made a ton of headlines throughout the years, and not always for good reasons. The you've got owner Alex Spanos and his son/ team President Dean Spanos, who surprisingly fired head coach Marty Schottenheimer after a 14-2 season in 2006. Can you tell us about the fanbase's opinion of the Chargers front office, and the direction they are taking the team?
Five Questions With: Pride of Detroit - 2nd Edition
Seems like we just did this a couple weeks ago, but certainly a lot has happened for both teams since our last meeting. Once again, I hooked up with Sean from pride of Detroit for a Q/A session on the upcoming game. Sean, thanks for your time sir. Oh, and check out their Q/A post here.
1- Ndamukong Suh has made plenty of headlines lately... Once for having a meeting between Commissioner Goodell to discuss appropriate levels of aggressiveness, and another time for being voted the dirtiest player in the NFL by 111 of his peers. Suh was also ranked the 4th most overrated player in the NFL in that same Poll. From just a statistical standpoint, Suh's production has dropped off a bit from last season (66 tackles/ 10.5 sacks in 2010, and 24 tackles/3 sacks through 8 games in 2011). Is Suh the wrecking ball that he seemed to be last season, or is there a chance that offenses are figuring out ways to neutralize him?
Five Questions With: Bleeding Green Nation
Eagles QB Michael Vick has never beaten the Bears as a starting QB (he threw one pass in an Eagles victory in 2009 as a back-up), but he's also facing a defense this coming Monday that doesn't have the same pop it's had over the last few years. How well can the Bears stack up against an up-and-down Eagles team? I sat down with Bleeding Green Nation's JasonB for some insight.
1- We always like to hear about other teams' front offices, especially considering so many Bears fans are in a constant uproar about our own. The Eagles have Jefferie Lurie (owner), Joe Banner (President), Howie Roseman (the youngest GM in the league), and Andy Reid (HC). Even though Reid supposedly has all the power when it comes to football things, how does the dynamic between everyone work? What do Eagles fans think of their team's management?
Five Questions With: Bucs Nation
As we near the Bears-Bucs game in London this Sunday, I had the privilege of doing a quick Q/A exchange with the lead editor over at Bucs Nation, SB Nations' Tampa Bay Buccaneers blog. Big thanks goes out to Sander for taking the time to field our questions.
1- The Bucs are sitting pretty confidently at 4-2 right now, with two of those wins being against the Falcons and Saints. Out of the two losses, one of them was only by one score against the Lions, but one of them really stands out - The 48-3 beat-down courtesy of the 49ers. Which Bucs team is closer to reality... The 4-2, division-leading Bucs, or the inconsistent, potential to have a meltdown Bucs?
Five Questions with Daily Norseman

It's Friday. There's a game this weekend. So of course it's time for Five Questions.
This week we have Ted Glover from Daily Norseman, SBNation's home of the Minnesota Vikings. Ted knows his stuff and loves his team, through good times and McNabb (see what I did there?)
He'll have my answers to his questions going up sometime today(Kev's Note: HERE THEY ARE), but for now, let's see how Ted feels about the coaching staff, the McNabb acquisition, the Vikings' close losses, their upcoming slate of games, and a bonus--what's up with the stadium thing?
