Cincy is gunning for the chance to lose to Dallas in Super Bowl XLI. To get there they need to keep opposing secondaries from mugging Chad Johnson. Pope is a 6'7" beast who will provide a huge target for Carson Daly err... Palmer. With Pope running seam routes opposing safeties will no longer be able to provide top cover against the Lord of the Dance. Though not a punishing blocker (what TE is anymore?) Pope's size will let him shield-off defenders allowing Rudi Johnson to get into the secondary.
