Sorry, for the delay. I am out sick today and actually just woke up.
Let me first say that I now believe the Bears are looking to drop out of the first round, so this was a tough pick to make.
#26 Chicago Bears: Marcedes Lewis, TE, UCLA
The reasoning behind this is two fold. While I think drafting a CB might be a better choice, the Manning signing is probably taking care of that spot, so now they are trading back. Also latest word has the possibility of Pope and Lewis actually sliding out of the first round, so that now leaves about 4 or 5 quality tight ends available for use in the second. I also don't think we are going to look for that LB this early. I probably would have gone afte Pope, since he is a better blocker, but he is off the board, so I went for the next on the list. While not the fastest TE out there, he is one of the better pass catchers and is capable of turning a short play into a long gainer.
There it is, let the arguements begin.
