WCG Mock Draft

I just recalled that ezzi110 from over at Blogging the Boys had agreed to draft for Houston and he already sent his pick, so I will use that for the first pick.

#1-Houston Texans: Reggie Bush, RB, USC

The Texans are in bad shape. They have a poor offensive line. Their franchise QB has been unimpressive. Most of all, they don't have any playmakers. Reggie Bush is regarded as the greatest RB prospect in decades. He could be a legend, and the Texans would be foolish to pass up the ultimate backfield weapon. Anybody interested in picking for the Saints, feel free to send it to me.

Bush
This was recently mentioned in Peter King's column, which makes me feel like a bit of a Johnny Come Lately, but I don't think that Bush is the best pick for the Texans.  Kubiak is famous for running a system that makes not so good running backs look excellent.  Why would he take away one of his biggest strengths and use the first pick on Reggie?

I would think D'brickashaw Ferguson would be a good pick, as he'd help improve a terrible Texans O-Line, or Mario Williams, who would help to start a pash rush.  Both of these seem to be bigger needs than replacing an already decent running back of Domanick Davis.

I have said similar myself
I think the big deal is since a lot of first picks are based on potential, nobody wants to be the guy who passed on Reggie and then he becomes the next Barry Sanders or something.

If I were the Texans...
I would trade down a couple of spots and improve the worst part of the Texans team.  The O line.  They have all the tools they need to be good on offense.  DD is good enough at RB, they need to open holes and protect Carr.
