Bears Sign Wolfe

The Bears have signed 3rd round draft pick, Garrett Wolfe.  The Northern Illinois product signed a 4-year deal his first day in camp with the vets.

"I'm not a numbers guy, so I wouldn't have been too worried about it anyway," Wolfe said. "But it's a great opportunity for me with the Chicago Bears.

"The one thing that I'm excited about is that I'm here and I'm working out with the guys. I get to get a feel for what's going on and that's just going to put me that much more ahead. Going into training camp, I'll be ahead of the learning curve."

Wolfe is the first 2007 NFL Draft selection to sign with his team.

wow
First draft pick, out of all the rounds?  Good job Bears and whoever represents Wolfe.  I think he's going to be a big contributor immediately.  Don't ask why.  Not a NIU fan, so it's not a homer feeling.  I saw him run against... someone earlier this year.  Some team that was decent.  He just looks good.  Just got a good feeling about him.

Lots of upside...
This guy looks like another big play guy to put on the field.

Interesting...
...I remember last year they went in complete reverse order of draft picks. Signed last picked first; first picked last. It's interesting (but nice) that they got a 3rd-round guy signed so early.
