D.J. Hackett Signs With The Panthers

I don't think some combo of Booker/Hester/Bradley/rookie is the answer to our problem, but given who is left I don't know that we can upgrade much through free agency and while I might have endorsed the Bears at least talking to Hackett, I don't think he would have brought much.  Not that it matters any longer.

The Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms with Seattle Seahawks free agent reciever D.J. Hackett.  The deal is for two-years at $3.5 million.

Carolina..
...got great value here.  I think that's a very modest price for a guy with the upside of Hackett.  We've all said it, but this is just further evidence of the utter lack of effort to upgrade the offense.

Word is on the streets that Troy Brown is supposedly not in the patriots plans and i think is allowed to seek a trade.
