SBN Mock Draft - Round 2
So after our Draft guy and I came to an agreement to disagree with my first round selection of Rashard Mendenhall, we shook hands and decided to agree on the second round selection.
With the 44th pick, the Chicago Bears selected Anthony Collins, Offensive Tackle, Kansas.
The pick netted us an A. This was a pretty obvious pick, though I did look elsewhere. I considered only for a brief second Chad Henne, but the chance that he plays this year is slim to none. Collins on the other hand gives us immediate depth and is only an injury or poor play away from being a key ingredient.
I heavily considered Chilo Rachal, the offensive guard out of USC. He has played bigger and better opponents and has a nasty attitude, but he could be around at our first #3 pick, so this would be a reach.
What's your take?

Hey tyger1147...
You know what, I think you are!
That explains everything!
The rants, the raves, the pessimism!
Hey WGC, Jay Mariotti has invaded the blog!

Wow.
Off-load crappy contracts? Check.
Don't offer any big contracts? Check.
Bring in solid contributors for low cost? Check.
Bring in high-risk players for next to nothing? Check.
Base whole off-season plan on the draft? Check.
Now you tell me how this doesn't scream rebuilding year. You tell me how a line of Josh Beekman, Anthony Collins, Terrance Metcalf, Roberta Garza, Olin Kreutz and John Tait does ANYTHING next year.
You can't unless you're deluded and/or lying. You might call it being pessimistic, I call it being realistic. You probably think the White Sox will win 100 games, this year, too, huh?
In all honesty, I couldn't be happier they're rebuilding. I've been saying that since Week 10. I was originally upset because the Bears were talking about going for it all next year, but actions speak louder than words. In the NFL, with ten (10!) draft picks, rebuilding can happen in only one or two years.
I understand, though, that you can't think anything other than what the organization tells you to think, so I forgive the insult of calling me Mariotti.

i might try this
"something similiar to this happened and it led to a result I deem acceptable so obviously i should be happy for this because it will happen again!"
