| ANALYSIS: This was a tough pick. I think Philly's time is running out as McNabb and Westbrook aren’t getting any younger. Their O Line is getting older as well as a few key members of their defense. That being the case they'll try to get a play maker who can make an immediate impact next year. A WR probably won’t do much for a couple years, so I went with Talib. This frees them up to trade Lito Sheppard for an impact WR, which we all know they have been trying to do. One of the biggest needs for this team is to improve their special teams. Talib is a very athletic young man who can return kicks for them as well as compete for a spot on the defense. His 40 time of 4.44 leaves a little to be desired but he is definitely the top CB on the board and is a pretty good value at the 19th overall pick. At 6-1 202 lbs he has excellent size and he also possesses good ball skills. DeSean Jackson would also be an option at this pick but I think most of his impact will be made after Philly's stars are gone. |

Talib is bigger than any of the safeties
currently on the Eagles roster; so with or without Sheppard they can use him. He may not an every down player just yet, but he has star potential. A trade for Chad Johnson would make sense, since neither player seems happy where they are at.

the
problem with Talib is he is more suited for a cover 2 system, the eagles run man. but i think he solves their kick return problems too so i think it makes sense. the fans over on the eagles board didnt see it that way but that just goes to show how much smarter bears fans are than the rest of the world.
