WCG Mock Draft - Washington Redskins

CURRENT SELECTION
Phillip Merling
Defensive End
Clemson
ANALYSIS: The Washington have a need and both Defensive End and Wide Reciever, and and with the best WR in this draft gone they go with DE. The redskins have an almost non-existent pass rush, and this pick will almost immediately upgrade them at a position that they need desperately. Merling is a bit of a gamble seeing as he just had a hernia sugery, however, he is a value pick at 21. Merling improved every season at clemson and being 6ft. 5in. tall and 275lbs he should be good against the run.

good plan...
as we saw in the playoffs this year, a good pass rush can win the game.

the Redskins could definitely do with one
