Robbie Gould Not Participating In Offseason Program

Bears kicker Robbie Gould is in the last year of his contract and wants an extension.  He has not been around for the Bears offseason program.

I like Gould and we have won a number of games because of him.  It seemed one year he was pretty much our offense, but I don't like this method.

Again, as long as he shows when it is mandatory I won't care, but here is the thing.  The Bears have approached Gould and his agent about an extension.

Secondly, the Bears are currently working on deals for Pro Bowlers Tommie Harris, Devin Hester and now Brian Urlacher.  Sorry kid, wait your turn.  I like you, but you don't rate over these guys.

Let the Bears finish with the big guys and then see what they have to offer before you stay away from a Bears BBQ much less a workout.

Oh my...
Really now Gould? Seriously can I stop coming to voluntary workouts and get a contract extension? Now its like who IS showing up and isn't in a contract dispute.

That is good to know.

Odd Behavior
considering there are a number of people (not me but)  who would like the bears to bring in a guy who can hit from 50+ yards. Personally I like a guy who is consistent inside 40 yards like Gould, but it weird to ne asking for more cash when there isn't the univesal consent youre wanted at all.
