Cam the bounty hunter. Taking down the Saints D...all at once
Inspired by everyone's "sky is falling about our defense/don't worry, we'll just hit our way out of it offense" theories, I put together a chart showing our infields home runs hit when compared to errors scored. This was shorthanded to HERS (Homeruns per Error Scored). Last years team had a HERS of 1.6, so anything above that value would be an improvement, and anything under would be a disastrous experiment. In short, More Green numbers = Less Inge Playing Time
Mike Stoops for DC, anyone? Auburn should hire him effective January 2, 2012 so Auburn finishes the decade with the same DC we had in 2002, Gene Chizik.
From colintj at South Side Sox. Find a player's position on the left side and find that player's fielding ability relative to his position along the top. The corresponding cell tells you what a player has to hit in terms of wOBA in order to be a league-average player, overall. Remember, wOBA is on the OBP scale, where average is about .335. Good stuff.
