To revisit Dave Gilbert's article from last week: Jay has moved up into a tie for 14th place for number of touchdowns (5). He moved down to a tie for 5th place for number of interceptions (6). He moved up to 22nd for yards per game (229.3). He moved up to 25th place for completion percentage (57.3%). He moved up to 20th place for passing yards (917). He is tied for 3rd-most number of sacks (13).
The controversial "Right to Work" bill has been in the news here in Indiana and several NFL players have spoke out against it, including former Bear Rex Grossman and Cutler. Depending on your politics this could be another behind the scenes thing that shows Jay isn't a bad dude. Or if you're on the other side of the spectrum he's another liberal crackpot.
Oh, more good news for the O-line. Congrats guys, you just OFFICIALLY gave up the worst O-line performance of the season.
Says Cutler is totally immature and labels his defenders the "excuse patrol". Hey Greg, up yours.
And he's not making fun of the Bears either. The whole story is a fun read, and he takes a shot at the "knee watchers", too. Hilarious!
"Well," Wade says when asked about the Green Bay Packers, "they have a good football team, but we always have a better one."
The Chicago Bears have six more days to prepare for Sunday's game in Cincinnati, but for Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco the games have already begun. No. 85 started his pregame warm-ups as per usual Monday--with some Twitter trash talk aimed at his upcoming opponents. Like an electronically savvy middle school bully, Ochocinco handed out virtual wedgies to Jay Cutler and Co.
This story is in today's Tennessean ... It talks about how the late great Steve McNair coached up Jay Cutler prior to the 2006 Senior Bowl and how the two developed a friendship over the past few years. Excellent read.
MHR member here who thought you guys would enjoy a good laugh.
