Leslie Frazier was an outstanding assistant for the Colts and their defense in 2005 and 2006. He was long overdue to get a head coaching job. Unfortunately, in order to get this job it has to come off the heels of a coach getting fired mid-season. We wish Coach Frazier luck. He will need it with the Vikings.

Vikings Defensive Coordinator Leslie Frazier told reporters that Cedric Griffin will definitely miss the season opener against New Orleans. This shouldn't surprise too many people since Griffin blew out his ACL about six months ago. The good news is that Griffin's recovery seems to be coming along just fine. Lito Sheppard and Benny Sapp are the front runners to fill Griffin's starting CB spot at the moment. Stay tuned for more Training Camp news!

ESPN, in a story updated Saturday AM, is saying that the deal is done with Carroll. However, they only say Head Coach. They do not list Team President in the title. (That would be a surprising oversight on their part.) Whether this turns out to be true, and how it squares with a presumed interview with Leslie Frazier, remains to be seen.
