Official Pulled From NO/CAR Match Due to Bias

Per the article, "The league has said replacement officials are subject to the same background checks and ethical standards of the locked out officials. A league executive conceded, at the very least, "an appearance of impropriety" warranted Sunday's action.". Why do I have the feeling this may cause some big issues... Also, first ever fan shot!

Cutler Speaking Out Against "Right to Work" Bill

The controversial "Right to Work" bill has been in the news here in Indiana and several NFL players have spoke out against it, including former Bear Rex Grossman and Cutler. Depending on your politics this could be another behind the scenes thing that shows Jay isn't a bad dude. Or if you're on the other side of the spectrum he's another liberal crackpot.

2011 printable Chicago Bears schedule

Here's my annual attempt to create a printable Bears schedule to keep posted close by at work, home, etc. Feel free to download and share as you'd like! http://www.flickr.com/photos/16463234@N03/ A couple of quick notes about the schedule: -This year's Bye Week again falls nicely right in the middle of the season (and right after the Week 7 match-up w/ the Bucs in London) -Although the schedule looks pretty tough, thankfully there's no Thursday night/NFL Network games this year -We're paired up against the AFC West and end the year with Divisional games on Christmas & New Years Day.

Cardinals Receiver Steve Breaston Gets It

It seems at least one NFL player gets it. Breaston's awesome and heart-felt poem sums it up for us all. I've been pretty careful not to choose sides in this struggle, but Breaston makes an impassioned argument that should have the players side thinking about how bad their own PR campaign has been and what direction it should be going. And on a side note, Breaston is one hell of a poet.

Commissioner Goodell's Letter to NFL Fans

"These are not easy negotiations, but the outcome can be positive. If both sides give a little, everyone, including fans, will get a lot and the game will improve through innovation."
