This season is as well as any to utter those words in association with the Bears and I am happy to be a part of it.
First, let's get the huggy-kissy stuff out of the way. Thanks to SportsBlogs, INC for the opportunity and for setting me up with the sweet looking digs. I was a tad worried about what the graphic might look like, but it is killer. I really like that cityscape backdrop.
I have two reoccurring dreams. One involves Jessica Alba in a Honey Bears uniform, but since that really isn't the topic of this site; I will leave that one alone. The second is the same as any loyal Bears fan and it involves a bucket of Gatorade and somebody going to Disneyland.
So what is this site and what do I aspire it to be?
Initially, it will be what every fan wants and that is a place where I can unabashedly praise the Bears and get my opinion heard in hopes that others might want to hear it and maybe give their own take.
If you hear me say "Some say Kyle Orton is a future Brett Favre, but I think Brett Favre is a failed attempt at a Kyle Orton." know that I am a fan. That said I try to be a realist, so don't expect me to predict a 45-3 victory over anybody just yet.
I have been a Bears fan now for about 20 years, so I have gone through the bad times and the fact that I came out the other side and still am not a cynic speaks for what you will get from me.
I will wade through the copious amounts of redundant articles and other media, so you don't have to.
I hope much more for this site, but being smack in between Redskins and Panthers territories I don't know yet what I can offer. I see what other sites in this family are doing and would like to have that success and access, but that is for another time.
So come on in, enjoy, add your thoughts and by all means as I work my way to getting this site setup the way I want, please let me know if you have any suggestions or problems with it.
