With the catastrophy that is Wade, Smith vows to get a recently back from injury, Bernard Berrian, more game time.
From The Chicago Sun-Times:
With Wade's future uncertain, wide receiver Bernard Berrian could get playing time this week. Berrian is back after missing a month with a torn tendon in his right thumb. He dressed for Sunday's game but did not play.
"In hindsight, we probably should have got him in a little bit,'' Smith said. "He's the fastest receiver that we have now. We need to get him into the mix, and we will.''
Berrian has only two catches, but in the right role and running the right routes, he could provide a spark. Also getting an extended look in practice this week will be Eddie Berlin, who was re-signed Friday.
