Go after him Lovie

My original intent was to post this article on Mark Anderson.

"Nobody was high on him, including us," Angelo said. "We took him in the fifth round, so I say that about us too. But his senior year was very good. Our scout, Teddy Monago, really liked him and did a great job of making sure we understood how he matured."

Angelo was surprised that Anderson didn't get selected in the first three rounds of the draft, given the fact that he excelled during Senior Bowl practices and beat highly-regarded offensive tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson, the fourth overall pick in the draft, for a sack in the game.

"Usually that guy goes on the first day, but he didn't," Angelo said. "Maybe it's because he didn't have that early production (at Alabama). I don't know. I can't speak for anybody but us, but I'm sure happy that at some point somebody smelled the coffee and it was us."

but then I got to the end and saw this quote from Coach Smith after hearing Coach Green's tirade and about letting them off the hook.  I know it is better that Smith can actually control what he thinks and what he says, but it would have been cool for him to go off instead of playing it cool and just keeping them to implied digs.  Here is what he actually said.

"Of course, I see it a little bit differently than that," Smith said. "I think you have to win the football game and that's what we were able to do. As I've talked about not getting championships after five games into the season, you don't get a victory until you play four complete quarters. And that's just what we were able to do. We were able to finish the football game and we'll just leave it at that."

On second thought, just keep it cool Lovie.
