Tank in the Clank?

Just to make it official on Thursday Bear defensive tackle Tank Johnson was was charged with six counts of possession of firearms without the proper gun owner identification card.

The misdemeanor carries a potential punishment of 1 year in jail.

Johnson turned himself and has since posted bond and has been released.

There is a fair chance that unless the Bears impose a suspension that it will not alter his playing status for the rest of the season.  Coach Smith said he will make no decisions until he has all the information.

As far as the game goes Tank would be the second quality defensive tackle we have lost.  Tommie Harris being the first.  This would bring the total number of defensive linemen on roster to seven.
