Since this seems to be most Bears fans #1 want this off season, I might as well bring what news I can find.
From the Chicago Sun-Times:
Antwaan Randle El said Tuesday he hopes to make his free-agent decision within the next six weeks. The Bears appear to be in the forefront for the services of the electrifying Steelers kick returner/wide receiver. Randle El, who became the first wide receiver to throw a touchdown pass in a Super Bowl, also wants to make sure the Bears, or any other team pursuing him, appreciate the nuances of his game as a special teams standout.
I don't know what specifically makes the Bears the front runners other than it is his home town and he has mentioned he would like to be with his family. I have heard Washington is interested and they are more likely to break the bank for his services. The Skins already have Thrash returning punts and he is doing a decent job, unless they are going to pick Randle El as the for sure #2 receiver, it wouldn't make much sense for them.
