5 to look at

With Free Agency fast approaching, this article looks at five targets the Bears could possibly look at.  This turns out to be the article that the below info came from.  There really is only one person, whose name I haven't seen attached to the Bears before, but still worth the read if you need a fix.

4. Will Witherspoon, linebacker

Witherspoon often gets overlooked by fellow Carolina Panthers linebackers Dan Morgan and Mike Minter but his steady improvement has helped make that defense one of the NFC's most feared. He had 80 tackles, 2½ sacks and two interceptions last season and would give the Bears a slight upgrade in athleticism over Hunter Hillenmeyer at strong-side LB as well as future insurance against the possible loss of Lance Briggs after next year.

The Bears would love to lock up Briggs before training camp but realize how difficult that will be with Drew Rosenhaus representing him and Briggs' star rising fast after a Pro Bowl season. The Panthers still may ante up to keep the core of their defense intact, but if not, a young linebacker this explosive would merit a second look for a team built on defense.
